Detail the car shops. Over head crane added a caged latter and built a work bench from a couple freight car axles.

Still working on the locomotive facility. Decided not to scratch build the Ashpit or the water tower. Instead, I purchased the Plastruct water tank and a Walther ash pit kit.

Portable Transformer car part 1

Had a good friend send me a picture of a portable transformer car. Found it to be pretty neat so I started planning. Here is what I come up with so far.



Locomotive Maintenance Part 3

Here the start of the asp pit and the water tower. I keep putting off the ash pit due to having to cut a small hole in the layout but once that was done it turned out pretty good.

Locomotive Maintenance Part 2

Got to work on the locomotive terminal a little more. Started the diesel fuel storage tank. Used an older Bachmann tanker and Walthers piping. The building is from a Bachmann kit but I don't remember the name of it. Also did piping on the sanding tower.
